To access the widget, update to the latest version of the app, press and hold on a blank space on your home screen, search for Outlook and select which size of widget you wish to use.

To be clear, I've got both calendars within the Outlook app on android, and events from both show up fine within the calendar view inside the Outlook app itself. It's just in the Outlook app's calendar widget for the android desktop, it only shows the events from the hotmail account, not the gmail based one. Try it!
